Divan; As a word meaning, it is a furniture whose usage started in the Ottoman period and which is also called a wall based cedar. Of course, this furniture is also the name of the Ottoman parliament when the Sultan gathered his viziers and became the furniture on which he was sitting.

Divan is also a piece that we brought to Europe without changing its name, thanks to its popularity in Ottoman times. Especially in the 18th century, it is a rare item used by top-of-the-line ladies in private dressing rooms. Later, due to its increasing popularity and comfortable use, Divan began to be used in European and especially English cafes of its time, and these cafes are called Turkish Divan or simply Divan.

Finally, as a different place where it is used, Divan calls the cigar places, which are the most frequented places of the gentlemen of the time, as the Puro Divan (Cigar Divan). The gentlemen meet and do their conversations about cigars in these Cigar Sofas, or relax with a coffee or a drink.

On this occasion, I thought the Divan was an appropriate title for el Lector's membership division.
